Home for the Summer

After our journey home was unceremoniously delayed by 24 hours due to delays at Queretaro airport (thanks United Airlines!) we finally made it back to Europe for the Summer.

Our first stop was to Hoplands to pick up the car and visit our long suffering Uncle and Aunt who have looked after said car for the Winter (thank you!). It was wonderful to sleep soundly in a comfortable bed and wake up to birdsong the next morning before beginning our journey to France.

Now, a few days later, I’m sitting in my happy place – under the apple tree in the garden at Cladech – catching up on work and taking in the gorgeous view. Overnight we settled back into the pace of life en France – so relaxed…a place where conventional time is lost. We love being here so much…THIS really is home and I find myself torn between life in Mexico and life in France. It could be that we do both in the future and split our year between the two places if at all possible.

For now, it’s time to get back to catching up with work!
